(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Friday that more than 1,400 Hezbollah terrorists have been eliminated since the launch of Operation Roaring Lion, as Israeli forces continue to target the terrorist organization in southern Lebanon.
According to the military, coordinated operations on the ground, in the air, and at sea have significantly degraded Hezbollah’s capabilities. IDF units, including the 162nd and 36th Divisions, have dismantled more than 2,700 terrorist infrastructure sites and seized over 250 weapons, ranging from long-range rockets and anti-tank missiles to RPG launchers and explosive devices.
Additional divisions—the 91st, 98th, and 146th—have destroyed more than 1,500 infrastructure targets and recovered over 1,000 weapons, further weakening the Iran-backed militant group’s operational network.
The Israeli Air Force has played a central role in the campaign, conducting precision strikes in coordination with ground forces. Over the past 24 hours alone, more than 120 Hezbollah targets were hit across southern Lebanon, aimed at eliminating immediate threats to Israeli troops.
The IDF estimates that a total of approximately 4,300 Hezbollah infrastructure sites have been destroyed since fighting escalated on March 2, alongside the seizure of more than 1,000 weapons.
Among those killed are reported members of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, a unit tasked with carrying out cross-border attacks against Israel.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s health ministry reports that more than 1,800 people have been killed since the conflict began, including over 300 fatalities in a single day earlier this week.
The ongoing operation underscores Israel’s determination to neutralize Hezbollah’s presence along its northern border, as regional tensions remain high and the risk of broader escalation continues to loom.
